  If you are snooty, in a hurry or wanting people to wait on you hand and foot, go elsewhere. If you are laid back, want a great drink with a super friendly staff and home style food, this is your place! Take your time, talk to people, come here and enjoy your life.

  The staff was mixed. The dishes were a little expensive for what you got... They were good though.
  
  Managerial staff was good, and our server was decent. The host staff though almost got them a 1 star review before we ever sat down. We had 6 people the last Saturday of spring break, my wife, 4 kids, and myself. Trying to find a place in Fredericksburg with all the Austinite yuppies around on a holiday weekend was nigh impossible, but we stopped in here and were virtually ecstatic at the 15 minute wait.
  
  35 minutes later, as guests were being seated almost immediately during the mid afternoon lul, I finally looked in at the host's station to realize the male host had created his own list after taking over from the female hostess. When asked about it, he obviously knew we'd been waiting a while and said he "guessed he could seat us" at a few of the eight or so empty tables. I know at 16-17 you're acclimating to working, but his snooty attitude was enough that had there been another option I'd likely have taken my family.
  
  At the end, it was good. I understand the inflated prices in a tourist town, but the young host should also remember that's where hos job comes from at the same time.

  Great selection of beer. Really good German food although the menu is diverse, something for everyone. My husband had the bratwurst plate and I had the reuben sandwich, both outstanding. Nice wait staff, nice ambience. This is the second time we've been there. We'll definitely go back.
