  I've traveled extensively throughout the Texas Hill Country. Whenever I'm asked about where to go, one of the obvious answers is Fredericksburg, TX. People will follow up wanting to know where to eat. My answer for this area is Alamo Springs Cafe hands down.
  
  Though a few miles removed from Fredericksburg, this iconic stop is worth the drive. The burgers are amazing and not to be missed. Just about as perfect as they can be made.
  
  The drive out there is enjoyable too. So take your time and make an afternoon of it. This isn't fast food, this is food done right.
  
  Don't miss this gem, a must-visit if you are ever in the area.

  If you visit on a weekend bring your patience. It gets pretty crowded. That being said, it is well worth the wait! The fried avocado was incredible! We'll most definitely return.

  Have been here multiple times over the last few years and have never had a bad experience! The food is always excellent and the staff are great! I would recommend this place to anyone anytime!

  Poor service. Was very excited about visiting this place since my husband had eaten here before with his friends. Husband and I came with our granddaughter to try this great food. Although we did have the fried avocado and some drinks, which was delicious, we waited over an hour to be served. We had asked the waitress twice about our order and were told it was on its way out. After seeing 2 tables, and one with 9 guests, being served before us and having come in after us, we decided to pay for what was eaten and leave without waiting for the rest of our order. We know we ordered before the other tables. Cashier offered to bag our order so we could take it but really, we already had a bad taste for the experience. This restaurant was the only reason we drove an hour out to try it. It's unfortunate but we will not be visiting again. However, I will say the service at the local Whataburger down the road was impeccable!
